Andrea Wickert is an author & illustrator from the Northeast who spends winters with her family in the lake effect snow belt of Upstate New York and summers by the water in Maine.
Andrea shares stories with children that reflect and delight, embrace and hold, stories that live in the hearts and minds of both children and caregivers long after the books are closed. Her wonky, sketchy illustrations live in the land of negative space, stem from a deep love of kid lit, and thrive on an inability to be too serious.
Working in a mixture of traditional and digital mediums, her favorite things to illustrate in alphabetical order include: animals, boats, cause, dogs, effect, feathers, geese, houses, insects, jellyfish, kids, ladybugs, martians, nonsense, owls, pencils, quiet, robots, sea creatures, trees, ukuleles, vacations, whales, xenarthra, yachts, and zebras.
